Love Letter

THE BEST love letter I have ever received:

“There is no way to tell you I love you. There are no words to explain. I love you so

much it hurts. I am in fear all the time. I am crazy in love. The only thing that comes

close is when I am holding you and even that pales to express the way I really feel. I

feel as if I am a mute. I never knew how it would feel to not be able to speak until I

fell in love with you .”

Sociopath Nursery Rhyme

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater
Had a wife and couldn’t keep her
He put her in a pumpkin shell
And there he stalked her very well

Fairy Tales

Your fairy tales were spun
With a ray of golden sun
Where the bluest rivers run
Along rose-colored shores
And once upon a time
In faded lights of lime
You made up your mind
To make the story yours

She is a prostitute
She has psych issues
This is what I deal with

Initial Lies

I don’t drink.
I don’t do drugs.
I don’t like drama.
I am not Christian.
I am honest.
I am faithful.
I am sane.
I am a good man.
I only have traffic offenses.
I only want you.
I love you.

“I’m going down to the bar, pick up a woman, bring her back here and #!&! her on this bed right in front of you.  My first wife didn’t like when I did that to her.  I don’t think you’ll like it either.”

Montana

I loved you like Montana sky
         stretching boundlessly
Immortal double stars beyond the
             clustered canopy

Reviewing My “40 Things” 15 Years Later (9 of 40)

“Time, Money, and Energy are important resources to help you achieve your goals.”

“Don’t waste precious resources (time, money, energy) guessing at what might work for your customers.” ~ Michael Dell, Direct From Dell: Strategies That Revolutionized an Industry

I admired Michael Dell, his company, and computers. I bought and read his biography when it was released in 1999.  I became a Dell shareholder and exclusively purchased Dell desktops and laptops.

I wrote the above quote on an index card.  It reminded me of what the rabbi said at my brother’s bar mitzvah.  He said some people give their time to help others, some people give their money to help others, and both are equal gifts.

Reviewing My “40 Things” 15 Years Later (8 of 40)

“Remain focused on your most important life goals. It is easy to be led astray.”

Distractions ~  Computer games.  New interests.  Other people’s agendas.  Suddenly, you’re on a detour and not accomplishing what you set out to do.  Stay focused.
